What is Vyom?
Vyom is a Vedic astrology (Jyotish) app from Oracular. It builds your Janam Kundli from birth date, time and place, then layers on daily insights, remedies, Kundli Milan, numerology, dashas, an AI astrologer and professional tools including 23 divisional charts through D144.
Is Vyom actually free, or is it a trial?
Vyom is free to download and use, with no ads on any tier and three tap-to-explain AI insights free for life. Paid plans grant monthly AI chat credits; an Unlimited Astro Pass removes the metering entirely. There is no countdown trial on the core chart tools, and the full plan table is published on the features page so you can see what a paid tier adds before you buy.
Does Vyom charge per minute to talk to an astrologer?
No. Vyom sells no per-minute calls or chats, runs no marketplace of astrologers, and takes no cut of anyone's consultation. It is software that calculates your chart accurately and explains what it shows, so the reading stays yours. If you want to consult a human astrologer, do — Vyom is built to make you a better-informed client, not to replace or resell that relationship.
Why does Vyom need my exact birth time and place?
Vedic charts are fixed from your exact birth moment and location. That sets your ascendant, house positions and the divisional charts from D1 through D144. A few minutes of error can shift the lagna and the nakshatra pada. An approximate time still generates a chart, but house-sensitive readings become less reliable.
How accurate are the calculations?
Vyom runs on Swiss Ephemeris-grade calculation to place planets, determine retrogrades and combustion, and run dasha timelines — the same class of maths used by professional Jyotish software. It is a serious calculation engine, not a replacement for a trained astrologer's judgement on an ambiguous chart. Where a chart is genuinely ambiguous, the app says so rather than filling the gap with a confident-sounding claim.
Does Vyom work offline?
Chart generation and saved profiles work without a live connection once your details are entered. Live Gochar updates and Uttara AI need internet access.
